Lloyd's HAM-STICK ANTENNA

Good day for some antenna work.  Decided I needed a better setup for 6 meters.  So I went to work.

Tripod for Direct TV and  4ft metal pole. 

9ft Painters pole from K-mart.   Hose clamp from Tractor supply store.

With a little work, I made this 15ft antenna for the apartment.  It seperates into 2 pieces for storage and a very quick setup. 

I use a hose clamp to keep the top end of painters pole from slipping.  Setup is really easy.  Just extend the painter pole, tighten the hose clamp with a screwdriver, and slip into the metal rod on the tripod, and boom, instant antenna!  

Feel free to add suggestions or modifcations.  This is not a permanently mounted antenna.  This can be used for Field Day, or used in a emergency use.   You can use it for any band, just get the Ham-sticks for the proper band.
